Tamiya adds to its impressive lineup of Formula One cars with one of the greatest: the 1978 Lotus Type 79! The kit features tons of amazing detail, right down to the complicated suspension and Ford DVS engine. Includes metal air funnel cover parts to further enhance the detail. It features a few parts from the older Lotus 78 kit (engine block, chrome-plated wheels, rubber tires) but is for the most part all newly tooled, for a beautifully kit of a great car! Includes markings for the #5 Mario Andretti and #6 Ronnie Peterson cars as run in the 1978 British and German GPs. Tire markings not included.
